Who We Are

Magnus Media and Entertainment has grown to become a premier provider of Quality Entertainment, Concept Development, Consultancy and Human Resource Development. Over the years we have organized events and produced lots of Movies both home and abroad.

The business portfolio of Magnus Media & Entertainment spans Music/Movie Productions, Training on Film Making, Editing and Special Effects, Modeling, Talent and Event Management. We have been in this business since 2007 and we have a number of achievements to our credit, including a successful Talent Hunt Audition carried out on behalf of the Catholic Artiste and Entertainers Association of Nigeria, Awka Diocese Anambra state, held on the 9th & 10th July 2010.

We have also just concluded a highly successful film training programme in Enugu state. The programme had the strong backing and endorsement of the Enugu State Ministry of Youths and Sports.

Subsequently, we have established two Training Centers in Enugu state, namely Royal Palace Hotel, Agabani Road, Enugu (for Enugu zone) and Grace Manor Hotel & Suites by Living Faith Church, Nsukka, Enugu state (for Nsukka zone).

We have also established a Training Center at Awka, Anambra State, namely Ever Royal Suite, Kwata Junction, Awka, Anambra state.

Registration is also open for the first Season at our Abuja center. Details shall be published shortly.

Registration for all centers is conducted at the venues and also online on our Online Registration page.

You will have the opportunity to interact with our professional Lecturers, Film Instructors and Guest Star Artistes as you enroll in our course on Film Making. We will not only show you how it is done but we will offer you the opportunity to be part of our Movie Productions. This Academy will help you get your feet in the door.

Moreso our training come at a subsidized rate as the bulk of the training cost is borne by our partners and co-sponsors. Many thanks to them.

Our Management

Odenigbo Cyril.
He has remained very active in Nollywood as a Producer, Script Writer and Concept Manager. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and he holds a diploma in Latin from All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha. From 2001 to 2006 he was the chairman of the Association of Movie Practitioners, Nnewi Chapter (A.M.P.), Anambra State. He has worked with the Production Crews of Amaco Investment, Annex Merchandise, Fillmark Productions and many others. He is the chairman of Magnus Media & Entertainment.
Part of his motivation for the Academy was the fact that the Movie and Film Industry in Nigeria lacks formal training structures as most early callers into the industry grew through on-the-job training which does not make for good professionalism. The vision of Magnus Film Academy is to create a platform for our talented youths to have the opportunity to build a career in film production and directing, as well as give them a chance to express themselves in the industry.

Chief Chika Okpala aka Chief Zebrudaya Okoroigwe Nwogbo alias 4:30.
He is one of the veterans and pioneers of the Movie/Film and Entertainment Industry in Nigeria. He is easily remembered for his role in the TV comedy series 'New Masquerade' that ran from 1983-1993 on which he acted the role of Chief Zebrudaya. He became famous for using his own version of English Language in his role as chief Zebrudaya. He has won numerous honours and awards including the following national honours: Member of The Order of Federal Republic (MFR) – 1999, Member of The Order of The Niger (MON) – 2000, and National/Merit Award For Arts & Culture (NAMAC) – 1997. He was the Production Manager of Nigeria Television Authority(NTA)'s 'Cock Crow At Dawn' and he also produced 'The New Masquerade' Comedy TV Show on NTA from 1983 to 1993. He is presently the Chief Executive Officer of Zodiak Brains Films Ltd, Enugu.

Gabriel Okorie.
He is better known as Gabazzini. He is Nollywood's most sought-after Make-UP Artiste and Creative Designer. He is the 2007 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) Best Make-Up Artiste; the 2008 Creative Designers' Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) Most Creative Make-Up Artiste; the 2008 Ghana Film Festival Best Make-Up Artiste; the 2009 CDGN Most Creative Make-Up Artiste; the 2010 AMAA Best Make-Up Artiste and is the 2012 Nollywood Movie Academy Best Make-Up Artiste.

Chichi Okonkwo.

Chichi Okonkwo is a producer, executive producer, script writer, actress, singer and a licensed vocational nurse. She is the US based communication manager for Nollywood Croissance magazine, France. She is also an avid contributor to Magnus Media & Entertainment and, the Ambassador to Magnus Film Academy. She Executive Produced “Tears On My Pillow”, “Blind Pursuit”, “My New Dawn”, and “Wicked Intentions”. Ms. Okonkwo will also executive produce, produce, as well as feature in new productions before the end of the year. Chichi is a diverse lady who is endowed with beauty, brilliance, modesty and is very passionate about volunteering her nursing expertise to the needy. She is well traveled and a big asset to Nollywood USA and to the entertainment world.

Rebeccah Monyei.
She lives in St Louis, Missouri USA. She is a producer and distributor for the Nigerian entertainment industry in the United States. Her desire and passion is to spread the Nollywood fever all over the world. She has been fortunate to have worked with influential contributors in the industry and intends to further the Nollywood movie with her experience. She is planning a joint venture with three other powerful producers in USA and Nigeria. Rebecca established the distribution company called “Nollywood Spotlight LLC”, a registered distribution company in St Louis, Missouri. She is contracted with an online movie distributor in USA. She also established the company blog www.nollywoodspotlight.com to stay connected with Nollywood fans world wide.
